General terms
& conditions


These terms apply to all users of and will be valid for all your future transactions and visits to Scandinavia design reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions. Users are responsible for keeping themselves updated with such changes.


We accept payments by VISA, EURO/Mastercard, e-carte Bleue, CB and Wire Transfer. Payment by wire transfer can be made to our account : BIC : CCBPFRPPNAN, IBAN : FR76 1380 7008 4630 8214 8194 040. The amount of the order will be charged on the day of ordering. If your country is part of the European Union (EU), prices include VAT at 20%.

Price guarantee

We compare our prices every day with all authorized retailers in Europe. If nevertheless you find cheaper, contact us for a counter-proposal. We must be able to verify that the item is authentic, new, perfectly identical (size, materials, color, etc.) and that it is not part of a campaign or temporary destocking. The valid basis is, for example, a current quote or a direct link to another retailer's website where the lower price is indicated. An email image is invalid, the original email must be forwarded.The offer does not apply to orders already placed and cannot be combined with any of our other offers or promotions.

Shipping cost

Scandinavia design offers free shipping for orders exceeding 150€ within the EU. For the rest of the world, shipping cost is 29€. For orders below 150€ the standard shipping cost is as follows: France: 5,90€, EU: 12€.

However, shipping fees may occur for some large and/or heavy items. If additional shipping fees are necessary, Scandinavia design will inform you before confirming the order.

Taxes, duty charges, and custom fees

Orders to countries outside the EU are free of VAT, but may be subject to local VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. Scandinavia design ships your package according to the incoterm Delivered At Place (DAP). This means that we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes to orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such additional charges they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for further information.

Deterioration during transport

All orders are shipped with insurance. If you sign the delivery slip without writing any reserves, the product is considered as having been delivered in good condition, relieving the courrier and Scandinavia design of all responsibility. It is therefore very important to inspect the packaging before signing the delivery slip: if the package is damaged, open it and inspect its contents carefully. If something is damaged, you must describe it on the delivery slip in as much detail as possible (the description must focus on the product and not the packaging). If the courrier refuses to let the customer open the package, the customer must note this on the delivery note (delivery damaged and driver refuses to let me inspect the merchandise). Please note that if the customer does not describe the damage of the merchandise in detail, Scandinavia design cannot be held responsible for the damage and can therefore neither replace nor refund the item in question.

Returns & Exchanges

During 14 days following the delivery of the order, the customer may request the exchange or refund of items, which must be returned to us in unused condition, in original packaging including all parts of the product. Returns will only be accepted if labels and original packaging are fully intact. Scandinavia design cannot accept returns where labels have been removed or where parts of the product are missing or damaged. You are responsible for the shipping of returned items back to Scandinavia design's online store. Items lost or damaged in transportation will not be compensated for. Damaged items cannot be compensated for if it cannot be established that the damage happened during the first shipping. 

Please note that return shipping costs are at the customer's expense. We do not wish to encourage useless returns of products, with their absurd pollution, by offering returns: and so much the worse if it implies to sell a little less. On the other hand, we refund quickly: often the same day, within a maximum of two weeks.

For countries within the EU, VAT will be included in the refund. All exchanges are subject to availability. Faulty items will be replaced by the same type of product, subject to availability. Refunds for faulty items can be made within the 14-day period following delivery. Please only inform us by mail before shipment. Exchanges must be returned within the 14 day period following the delivery. Scandinavia design cannot accept returns that arrive after this period.

This returns policy does not extend to made-on-order products – including a large part of our furniture offer: in case of doubt, please ask us before ordering – or products which have been altered according to the customer’s wishes – such as cut fabrics. Please note that an armchair or sofa customized with fabric or leather is always considered a made-to-order product, even when it is indicated that it is pre-composed and/or stocked and/or part of a quick delivery program.

In case of product exchange, the second shipping cost, but also the potential custom clearance are at the customer's expense.

Defective products

Manufacturing defects visible to the eye must be the subject of a complaint within 24 hours after delivery.

Order Tracking

All orders sent by UPS or Colissimo are sent with a tracking number that the customer receives by email.

Heavy or oversize items are shipped by courrier and delivery is scheduled directly with the customer.


Scandinavia design cannot warent that the content of is at all times free of inaccuracies or typographical errors. Neither can we guarantee that all information is up-to-date. Scandinavia design may at any time change the content of the site and the items available in the product range. Though Scandinavia design always strives to display the correct text, images and pricing, errors may occur. If you have been charged with the wrong amount when shopping from the web shop, we will give you the option to place a new order with the correct price or cancelling your order.

Force Majeure

In case of force majeure, Scandinavia design's obligations are rendered null and void. The contract between you and Scandinavia design can in such cases be partially or fully terminated by yourself or by Scandinavia design. A force majeure is defined as an event of war, civil war, revolution, riot, governmental measures, strike lockout, blockage, failure of electricity, telephone or internet service, natural disasters or similar events. Scandinavia design will under such circumstances do all we can to solve the matter for our customers as soon and entirely as possible.
