scandinavian design trolleys

Trolleys - or serving carts, rolling cart, kitchen cart, bar cart, tables on wheels - were originally designed to allow objects or food to be moved easily from one room to another, particularly in hotels and restaurants, between kitchens and reception areas. Alvar Aalto, for example, designed the Tea Trolley 900 for the prestigious Savoy restaurant in Helsinki.

Particularly practical, often expressive in their design thanks to the dynamic contrast between the rigidity of the frame and the mobility of the wheels, trolleys on castors can be used for many purposes - to store books, films, bottles of alcohol or work documents, or even, for the most daring, all at once.
