The Objekto collection presented here celebrates Brazilian design through furniture and lighting that combine craftsmanship, simplicity and contemporary elegance. Founded as a Franco-Brazilian company, Objekto is dedicated to reissuing and creating iconic pieces from the 20th century and today, highlighting the talent of the great names in Brazilian architecture and design.
Objekto, whose name means ‘object’ in Esperanto, draws on Brazil's cultural diversity and European craftsmanship. Producing in Europe under exclusive licences granted by the designers, the brand perpetuates iconic designs while incorporating modern concerns such as material quality and environmental protection. Each piece reflects a balance between heritage, innovation and sustainability, designed to fit into a variety of spaces, from the living room to the terrace.
The Objekto range offers furniture and lighting characterised by clean lines and carefully selected materials. Here are the main creations:
Paulistano Armchair: Designed in 1957 by Paulo Mendes da Rocha for the São Paulo Athletics Club, this cantilever armchair rests on a folded steel structure supporting a seat in leather, Vosges cotton or steel mesh. Available in an outdoor version with a resistant recycled fabric, it is part of the MoMA's permanent collection.
Eclipse Lamp: Created in 2006 by Mauricio Klabin, this steel, polypropylene and polyethylene lamp has become a design icon, joining the MoMA collection as soon as it was launched. Its modular shape and adjustable angle provide soft, warm lighting.
Tribo Stool: Designed by Ilse Lang, this stackable stool in solid oak and steel is inspired by traditional Brazilian gaucho stools. Available in three sizes (including a tall, non-stackable version), it is both practical and attractive.
Kaeko Coffee Table: Designed by Rafic Farah, this coffee table combines simplicity and sophistication, perfectly complementing the Paulistano armchair with its sleek design.
Objekto favours sustainable materials: recycled steel from France and Italy, cotton canvas from the Vosges, wood from sustainably managed forests in Central Europe, and French leather tanned without chrome or heavy metals. Each piece is made by skilled craftsmen and rigorously checked to ensure impeccable quality. This environmental commitment, combined with traditional craftsmanship, ensures robust and eco-friendly products.
Objekto's creations adapt to a variety of décors, from contemporary minimalism to more eclectic spaces. The Paulistano Armchair brings a touch of light elegance to a living room or terrace, while the Eclipse Lamp creates a warm atmosphere with its adjustable light. The Tribo Stool and Kaeko Table offer versatility and understated character. Their timeless design personalises any interior while maintaining a harmonious atmosphere.
