W182 Pastille Lamps
Sam Hecht & Kim Collin

A disc of pure light, attached to a thin line - who could have imagined that such a geometrically simple object could be so versatile, so adaptable to different situations? With its imaginative approach, innovative materials and sophisticated mechanics, the w182 Pastille doesn't just offer high-end performance at a mid-range price - it rethinks the way we relate to the light around us. Rotating fluidly up, down and around its own axis, w182 Pastille freely articulates surfaces to create soft, diffused light and soft but clear definition.

The warm tactility of w182 Pastille comes from its high-performance, renewable and recyclable material - a biopolyamide based on over 60% biobased materials from the castor plant.  Thanks to a perfect balance between a COB LED light source, a large reflector and a generous concave diffuser, w182 Pastille provides warm, soft lighting. Progressive dimming is controlled at the touch of a button at the top of the vertical pole.

w182 Pastille adapts to a wide variety of spatial conditions while occupying a minimum of space. In addition to the classic desk model, a wide range of mounting options allow it to be fixed to a desk or shelf, attached to a wall, placed on the floor, or integrated into the surface of a desk or wall without any cables being visible. Every detail has been carefully thought through and manufactured with the utmost precision - from the overmolded and ultrasonically welded metal parts to the dimmer switch at the top of the vertical pole.

The steel base has a high-gloss powder coating, contrasting with the lamp's matte bio-polyamide finish. The power cord is integrated into the base. Designed to recreate the full, uninterrupted color spectrum of sunlight, full-spectrum light offers a rich, deep quality not possible with the limited spectrum of a standard LED. Full-spectrum light also offers superior color rendering, making it an ideal choice for environments where correct color perception is a vital aspect.
