This collaboration full of color at the hand of Barcelona artist Santi Moix explores the parallelism between life and death through his biomorphic flowers. His use of color goes beyond the merely decorative: it is the resource to enhance and attenuate certain details while paying special attention to in-betweens; those intermediate processes in flowers such as the moments before their birth, their explosion of color or their decay.

Backyard is a literal representation of one of Moix's works, in which the original piece has been transferred as reliably as possible to a rug. Its name refers to the natural space behind a house, where the flora is wilder. Hence it is a mural with a messier approach where flowers are presented on a spectacular scale. Its lines in low relief reflect the pencil sketches of the painting.

The Promenade model is an exercise in reinterpreting the artist's floral work transferred to the rug. The nanimarquina team has worked carefully on the selection of each of the flowers, paying special attention to the scale and color in search of the appropriate compositional balance to ensure that Promenade is integrated and coexists in multiple spaces. It is also worth remarking its wide range composed of 38 different colors, an exhaustive chromatic work.

The smaller models called Bloom are the extraction of Promenade flowers as separate pieces. They represent two moments in the life cycle of a flower: wilting and flowering. They are combinable with each other and also complement the Colors collection.

Santi Moix

Santi Moix i Sala est né en 1960 à Barcelone. Il se consacre à la sculpture, au dessin et à la gravure dans son atelier à New York, même si c'est dans la peinture qui constitue son centre principal.

Son obsession est de raconter des histoires pour développer sa fantaisie, sans perdre le sens de l'humour. Créateur et observateur aux multiples facettes, il est amoureux de la peinture indienne du XVe siècle et trouve ses sources d'inspiration dans des maîtres tels que Delacroix, Velázquez, El Greco, Picasso, Miró, Pollock et Mutzuo Takahashi, en plus de la littérature.

A 14 ans, il part étudier à Paris puis en Italie, où il rencontre Federico Fellini. En 1981, il réalise sa première exposition individuelle dans un petit espace à Sant Cugat del Vallès. Plus tard, en 1986, il a pu se rendre à New York grâce à la vente d'une de ses toiles.

Il a fait des expositions individuelles aux États-Unis, en Espagne, en Suède, en Belgique, au Japon, en France, entre autres, ainsi que dans des expositions collectives au Royaume-Uni, aux États-Unis, en Espagne, au Brésil et en Allemagne, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns des plus importants. ceux.

Moix a obtenu une reconnaissance internationale en 2013 lorsque Prada a commandé une grande fresque pour son magasin de Soho à New York. Au fil des années, l'artiste a réalisé plusieurs expositions à travers le monde. En 2018, il a fait sa célèbre intervention picturale dans l'église de Seuri et a récemment exposé à la galerie Pace Prints à New York.
