The Piton portable lamp is a playful allusion to the traditional battery-powered torch. Designed by Toronto industrial designer Tom Chung, Piton moves easily around the garden and home and can be used lying down, standing, tilting or hanging, as needed.
It has a comfortable battery that gives it 6 hours with 100% brightness and 13.5 hours with 50%. Its body is made of anodized extruded aluminum with a tactile finish, while the lampshade is made of injection molded plastic. The integrated LED bulb is replaceable.

Tom Chung is a freelance industrial designer who established his eponymous studio in 2016. Based in Toronto, the studio focuses on industrial objects and interior spaces. Forming a unique design process that combines contemporary culture and local industry, the studio creates context-optimized industrial design pieces for domestic, institutional and public settings.
