The LOFT Chair, created by Thomas Bentzen in 2017, has a design that is both simple and expressive, allowing it to find its place both in a private dining room and in a restaurant. The chair balances cold and warm materials with its powder coated steel base which contrasts with the oak veneered seat and backrest. The erasures, elegantly added to the backrest, make it possible to offer even more comfort. The LOFT Chair can also be upholstered with a selection of comfortable and elegant fabrics.
Thomas Bentzen, about his work: « The Loft Chair combines the complementary opposites of sturdiness and elegance through materials - its wooden seat and metal frame - with a soft, industrial appeal. The design features an archetypal look for a sense of familiarity while subtle details, such as its sturdy back legs, give it a unique expression. The design fits perfectly into any spatial context while the addition of invalids now offers even more optimal comfort to its user. »

Thomas Bentzen
In 2010, Thomas Bentzen founded his own studio. The accomplished designer received international recognition at fairs and exhibitions across the world.
Bentzen is firmly rooted in the Danish design tradition, emphasizing material knowledge, craftsmanship and rational industrial manufacturing processes. With simple and narrative designs, he creates functional and meaningful products for everyday life.
