Pier System is a multi-functional storage system designed by French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, available in three main universes: the work space, the storage space and the clothing space.
Delivered flat-packed, easy to bring into the home and assemble, Pier System can be easily expanded and reconfigured over time. Its simple and sturdy design allows for flexible shelving solutions to organize and store a multitude of items in a multitude of spaces.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum and steel using the minimum number of components required, Pier System comes in a variety of colors that can be combined with each other. The elements can be moved according to needs and desires, allowing the user to best adapt his Pier System to the particularities of his office, his dressing room, his living room, his bedroom or his entrance hall.Â

Mounting the top shelf of each column must be fixed to the wall, as well as the desks

All modules are compatible with each other, making it possible to create long compositions and mixed sets combining office, storage and clothing elements.
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
The Bouroullec brothers, Ronan (born in 1971) and Erwan (born in 1976), grew up in Quimper, France. They studied at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cergy-Pontoise, respectively. In 1999, they became partners and founded their own Paris-based design studio. Their work ranges from small utilitarian objects to big architectural projects. In addition to the design of domestic and office furniture, vases, porcelain dishware, jewelry and diverse home accessories, a primary focus of their work is the design and organization of interior space.
Throughout their celebrated career, Studio Bouroullec has collaborated with renowned brands such as Vitra, Magis, Alessi, Samsung and HAY. Their work has been exhibited throughout the world including the Design Museum (London), Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago & Los Angeles) and the Arts Décoratifs (Paris).
