As the Coco chair, the Coco bar chair was designed by Studio OEO with the ambition to obtain a high level of comfort. This was achieved with great economy of means and a remarkable simplicity of the forms, which give the bar chair its mid-industrial mi-fashion look, which is reminiscent of the German Bauhaus. Its starkness leads to the expressiveness of details: the shape cushions, the weave of the fabric, the contrast of metal and padding. Its strong and feminine character has earned it to be named Coco, a rich connotations name.
The Coco bar chair base is available in powder coated steel. The seat and back rest is moulded plywood which is fully upholstered. The bar chair can be used in public space as private.

Designer and creative director Thomas Lykke (b. 1971) trained as a fashion designer in Copenhagen and San Francisco before turning to the design industry where he worked as an interiors editor at Wallpaper Magazine from 2000 in 2003 before setting up his own agency, OEO Studio, in Copenhagen in 2003.
For OEO Studio, communication is just as important as the product itself. Indeed, the truth lies in the whole process. OEO Studio seeks to touch and inspire people on an emotional level, to create engaging design universes with a cosmopolitan perspective.
“We are creative people with a unique and refined sense of a brand's DNA and personality: its heritage, its qualities and its essence. We have developed masterful skills in taking a brand and bringing it to the fore. We strive to create products that can last for generations for their exceptional qualities and aesthetics. Finally, we strongly believe in craftsmanship, tactile materials and lived experience when creating meaningful products and moods,” says Thomas Lykke.
OEO Studio has created award-winning designs for a wide range of discerning clients, from the most respected age-old craft companies to corporate brand producers of high-quality products, including Georg Jensen, Dinesen, Kadeau, Takashimaya, Brdr. Krüger, Leica, Japan Handmade, Stellar Works, Hosoo and Sony HQ.
