EVO-C Chair

design JASPER MORRISON, 2021

Jasper Morrison's EVO-C chair is the first chair manufactured by Vitra in 100% recyclable polypropylene - like an echo of the famous Panton chair - which was 60 years earlier the first chair molded in plastic in a single block - from which it takes the characteristic cantilever design.

The structure of the EVO-C chair is extremely solid thanks to innovative gas injection molding technology, supported by hollow tubular elements integrated into the flat surfaces of the seat and back.

As always, Jasper Morrison has gotten rid of any unnecessary details, focusing his very pure design entirely on stability and comfort.

Materials recycled Polypropylene

Jasper Morrison

Known for thinking outside the box, Jasper Morrison is one of the most successful industrial designers of the past few decades.

Together with his colleague Naoto Fukasawa, he defined the term 'super normal', which in his opinion answers the question of what 'good design' should really be. In his work, he strives to create good examples of understated, useful and responsible design.

Morrison has developed several projects in collaboration with Vitra, including the All Plastic Chair, the Soft Modular Sofa and the HAL chair family. His designs are represented in New York's Museum of Modern Art and other prominent museum collections around the world.
