design Normal Studio

The Belleville Pendant and the Belleville Mini Wall Lamp are part of the Paname collection, created by Normal Studio, which includes four families of lights built around Parisian grid patterns. The Belleville grid, with its simple and straight pattern, evokes the contemporary style of this famous district of the 20th arrondissement with a working-class past, nowadays a temple of Parisian street art.

Belleville is a luminaire that can be installed as a ceiling light or suspended from it using two steel cables. Suspended, it illuminates 360 degrees and is ideal for revealing the volumes of a loft. The Belleville pendant/ceiling light and the Belleville Mini Wall Lamp can be installed anywhere in the house or outdoors as they are both waterproof and dustproof. Their watertightness is perfect, as is their quality of manufacture thanks to the expertise of Sammode, which manufactures, assembles and packages all its products in France, in Châtillon-sur-Saône in the Vosges region.

Materials crystal quality polycarbonate tube. anodized aluminum reflector with brass finish. brass finish perforated grid. coal lacquered marine-grade (316L) stainless steel. waterproof and dustproof IP68, shock resistant IK10.

Normal Studio

Normal Studio is an industrial design agency founded in 2006 by Jean-François Dingjian and Eloi Chafaï. Observers of technical and customary processes of technology transfer, they reinvest everyday forms through a simple and precise design that exalts the quality of use. They invest in product design as well as space or scenography.

Jean-François Dingjian is a graduate of the Beaux-Arts de Saint-Etienne and co-founder of the magazine Azimuts. Before his career at Normal Studio, he signed the children's furniture collection "Kid's Kréo" in collaboration with Sylvie Fillère. He obtained the Agora scholarship in 1997, the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 1999, and since 2004, he has been project director at the National School of Industrial Creation ENSCI - Les Ateliers in Paris.

Eloi Chafaï was a student at ENSCI - les Ateliers, a school where he participated in various development projects in collaboration with industrialists. He graduated with the honors of the jury in 2006, and also won of the Design Parade Competition award of Noailles that sam year. Alongside his studies, he worked in collaboration with Jean-François Dingjian on commissioned and research projects. It was in this context, before Normal Studio, that the two men began their fruitful collaboration.
