The Luna pendant is essentially a minimalist, functional design. Alexander Lervik has created a unique suspension that casts no shadows - just pure, shadowless light. But how? Well, all the other globes on the market have some kind of metal or plastic cover to hide the cables and suspension mechanism. Luna, on the other hand, is made entirely of glass, even the cover and globe are suspended from an acrylic cross designed to let light pass through, while the cables and suspension mechanism are integrated into a single cord.

Alexander Lervik
For his graduation design exhibition in 1998, Alexander Lervik, at the age of 26, had unknowingly discovered what was to become his winning concept. With his exhibition 10 stools 10 decades, he had combined design thinking, unlikely partnerships and innovation to create what turned out to be his path to industry.
This three-pronged design approach is pivotal to Alexander Lervik's nearly 20-year career as one of Sweden's leading designers, whose quest for innovation speaks louder than his passion for creating beautiful objects "I rarely get hung up on details or art for-art's sake. What I am passionate about is the desire to create a product based on a new concept or invention. I consider this to be my strong point, even if some might see it as a failure in a designer", says Alexander.
