CHERRY pendant design DANIEL•EMMA

Emma Aiston and Daniel To created the DANIEL•EMMA design studio in 2008 with the desire to revisit industrial design. Designed in 2015 for Petite Friture, their Cherry pendant initially fitted with an E27 bulb was revised in 2021 to integrate more efficient, more powerful and more durable integrated LED technology. The simplicity remains – an aluminum cone surmounting a sphere – and new colors have been added. A new ceiling plate system now makes it possible to combine several suspensions.

Emma Aiston and Daniel To created their studio DANIEL•EMMA in 2008 to express their vision of industrial design.

They work on a wide variety of projects ranging from desk accessories to installations. They seek the unexpected from simple objects with pure lines, nourished by their Australian culture.

Their design is intended to be simply simple. They met during their studies at the Industrial Design school in Adelaide, Australia and gained experience by integrating large studios: Marc Newson, Thorsten Van Elten and Committee. They presented their first projects in 2008 in London and have since continued to exhibit in Paris, Tokyo, New York, Berlin and across Australia.

Wallpaper magazine designated them as new designers to follow in 2009 and in 2010 they received the prize for the most promising talent at 100% Design in London, as well as the “Bombay Sapphire Australian Design Discovery award”. They currently work for many brands: Hay (Denmark), Wallpaper* (UK), Field (USA), Thorsten Van Elten (UK), Attica Restaurant (AUS), Tait (AUS) and today PETITE FRITURE.
