The appliques à volet pivotant, designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1962, are decorative elements on their own with their multiple finishes. Apart from being aesthetically pleasing, they are also very practical as they can rotate, bend and therefore adapt to any type of use and environment. They are available in three shapes — simple, double and plié (« bent » in French) — and the diversity of light sources enables anyone to find the right lamp.
The LED and R7s versions are without cable nor switch. The E14 version comes with a cable and an on/off switch at the base.

Charlotte Perriand
For Charlotte Perriand, lamps were not just a decorative element with no purpose, but a functional and technical component, a tool and an object serving specific needs.
Perriand's minimalistic approach instills a timeless character in her creations: these are the “Useful Forms” that came from the movement she co-founded in 1949.
Like Perriand's furniture, her lamps are not immovable, but rotate and bend themselves, adjusting to our needs.
