Moonsetter

Anne Boysen, 2021

If Denmark is the epicenter of the world design history with Italy, the country intends to keep its tradition alive and danish television organizes an annual competition aimed at bringing out contemporary talent. Architect designer Anne Boysen won it in 2020 with her sculptural Moonsetter lamp, whose timeless geometric style immediately won over the juries. Louis Poulsen, a reference in Danish design lighting, very naturally offered to produce it.

The disc of this lamp/sculpture rotates 360°: with different finishes on both sides, it allows you to play with light by directing its refraction. The remarkable size of Moonsetter draws attention and creates space within space.

The Moonsetter lamp is produced in a first series of 100 copies numbered from 1 to 100 with a number engraved on the lamp.

The lamp has since received two awards: the 2021 "Best Celestial Glow" Award from Wallpaper Design and the 2021 "Lamp of the Year" Award from Design Awards.

Anne Boysen

Architect and designer Anne Boysen (b. 1980) works at the intersection between art, design and architecture. Anne holds a Master of Arts in Architecture and founded her own studio in 2012.
Boysen's work is defined by attention to detail, authentic craftsmanship and a sense of timeless aesthetics. His architectural training is expressed in his reflection on how we relate to a space and the objects in it, with a broader perspective. The physical and emotional feeling that can be expressed by a design object is important to Boysen. She works with the senses as a key part of the design experience, resulting in harmonious designs in dialogue with people and their environment. Boysen is a connoisseur of colors and materials, and her style and compositions continue to amaze the design world.
In 2020, she won the Next Danish Design Classic competition broadcast on Danish TV with her Moonsetter design, as well as the "Best Celestial Glow" award from Wallpaper Design Awards in 2021. The exceptional lamp was launched in collaboration with Louis Poulsen the Next year.
