Flos – Guglielmo Poletti
To-Tie is a luminous object as much as a lamp, both luxurious and intriguing. Devoid of any screws or glue, it consists of an aluminum tube-handle held by a cable at the top of a glass cylinder. The latter hides a real technological feat, since its inner surface has been worked in such a way that it retains most of the light inside: when switched on, To-Tie creates a contained puddle of light.

Guglielmo Poletti
Guglielmo Poletti (1987) is an Italian designer based in Milan. His work extends to a variety of fields ranging from spatial interventions to the design of furniture and lighting, designed either in limited series or produced in collaboration with industry.
Guglielmo Poletti founded his studio in 2016 after graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven, where he obtained a master's degree in contextual design. In addition to developing self-initiated projects and private commissions, he has collaborated with a number of internationally renowned clients such as Flos, Desalto and Galleria Rossana Orlandi, among others. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Design Museum Gent, which acquired the prototype of his stool
