Smithfield pendant and ceiling lamps reinterpret the traditional pendant lamp typical of Smithfield Market in London. Their large dimension (Ø60 cm) gives the Smithfield lamps an imposing and sculptural presence.
Despite their minimalist design - a trademark of British designer Jasper Morrison known for his sober and functional style - the aesthetic of Smithfield lamps is very recognizable: discreet, modern and elegant, they find their place in any style of space.
The aluminum shade has an opaline methacrylate part that diffuses a glare-free light , even if the lamp is positioned above a table.

Known for thinking outside the box, Jasper Morrison is one of the most successful industrial designers of the past few decades.
Together with his colleague Naoto Fukasawa, he defined the term 'super normal', which in his opinion answers the question of what 'good design' should really be. In his work, he strives to create good examples of understated, useful and responsible design.
His designs are shown in New York's Museum of Modern Art and other prominent museum collections around the world.
