All his life, Alexander Girard was fascinated by folk art in all its forms and he was a tireless collector. He painted the Tree of Life on the occasion of the HemisFair, a major exhibition held in 1968. The original artwork was several metres high and decorated the wall of a building that Alexander Girard had built and which contained part of his collection. Vitra launches it today in a reduced format, printed on a sheet of steel, enamel-like relief printing.
Material powder-coated sheet steel, enamel-like relief printing; assembly materials included.
Dimensions 70 x 70 x 5 cm. Numbered edition.
