Very strongly typed, the Trapeze table is one of the few tables that have managed to make history of design. Its name is of course referring to the two powerful legs in bent sheet steel, which echo to the thick edges of the oblique table top. It was designed by Jean Prouvé in the latter part of his career during the construction of the university of Antony, a city near Paris.
