LCM – wooden version
The Lounge chair LCM has a metal base (M for Metal), when the LCW has a wooden one (W for Wood). Incidentally, the LCM wins few inches of seat height and a substantially lighter look. The back and seat are made of molded plywood, with a choice of veneer finish in natural ash or black stained, or with light padding and leather upholstery (nero or chocolate) or calf skin (brown/white or black/white). The chrome-plated metal is connected to the hull by rubber elements and metal (shock mounts).

Due to the thin organic shapes of its seat and backrest shells, Charles and Ray Eames' LCM quickly acquired the nickname of Potato chip chair.
