In 1960, the Eames Office was commissioned by Time Inc. to outfit the interiors of three lobbies in New York‘s Rockefeller Center. As part of this project, Charles and Ray Eames designed the plush Lobby Chairs and a series of solid walnut stools. The Eames turned stools, which can also be used as side tables, are differentiated by the distinctive profiles of their shafts.

Material: laminated sections of solid walnut, lathe-turned, transparent lacquer finish.
