> see the polypropylene Eames Elephants
The designers Charles and Ray Eames created their famous elephant in 1945: originally made of plywood, this wooden toy had not been produced due to its complexity and its cost of manufacture. Thanks to technological advances, Vitra is now launching it in an American Cherry veneer version. The Eames Elephant also exists in a very robust polypropylene version, available in 2 dimensions and in many colors, as well as in miniature version, for collectors.
What is it used for? Everything and nothing, like any really important object: you can sit on it, play with it, or just look at it. As with an elephant, in short.
Material  Plywood with face veneer in Americain cherry.
Dimensions  W41 x L78.5 x H41.5 cm.
