With the goal of creating a round coffee table, Charles and Ray Eames engaged in various experiments that eventually led to the Coffee Table Metal (CTM). Designed in 1946, this simple table features a round plywood top with a slightly raised molded edge and four thin steel tube legs. She ideally accompanies the other creations of the Plywood Group by Charles and Ray Eames.
