The generous proportions of Hi Lo and the priority given to upholstery with a silhouette-hugging cover make it a sofa that envelops the user. At ground level, the high back and upward-curving seat almost form a C, as shown by its side profile, inviting the user to sink into the comfort while adopting a reclined, relaxed posture.

The name Hi Lo reflects a duality between high comfort and low form, structure and ease. It also evokes Hi-Fi culture, recalling the sense of immersion that comes from listening to the right soundtrack in the right space.
"A good sofa adapts to your body when you sit down," explains Torbjørn Anderssen of Anderssen & Voll. He continues: "Hi Lo has a very distinct lateral profile. The first sketches aimed to combine this sloping shape with ergonomics and comfort. However, as the idea developed and we moved from 2D to 3D modelling, we found that Hi Lo's approach from the front was like a gentle, sloping hill, which was a surprising and impactful discovery for us."

Both relaxed and thoughtful in form, the rising curve of the seat lightens the overall aesthetics of the sofa, so that it doesn't dominate the spaces it occupies, while also making it easier to clean - a feature particularly suited to busy professional environments.
"With Hi Lo, we wanted to create a fluid sofa, so that people have the option of creating a relaxation space as large or as small as they like. Whether you opt for a single seat or a configuration, Hi Lo is a sofa designed for sitting back and savouring moments while listening to music, enjoying a drink or creating memories with friends and family," adds Espen Voll of Anderssen & Voll.

Comprising a single sofa module and a corner sofa module, the Hi Lo series is designed to be versatile. The single module presents itself as a compact yet substantial piece, making it ideal for introducing an element of grandeur into small domestic spaces, while still managing to hold its own in hotel lobbies or larger waiting rooms. With their modular design, Hi Lo modules can be easily combined to create larger configurations that are just as suitable for relaxing at home as they are for breathing life into workplaces and reception areas. Mounted on either side of the sofa, the corner module creates dynamic L-shaped configurations.

Hi Lo's internal structure is made from FSC®-certified wood and recycled materials, supporting responsible forest management worldwide. The collection uses certified low-emission upholstery foam, ensuring that it is tested against harmful chemicals that can pollute indoor air. It is available with the EU eco-label
guaranteeing more socially and environmentally positive fibre production and strict restrictions on hazardous substances. Manufactured in a factory powered by certified renewable energy, it helps to reduce CO2 emissions.
