Main features

The sconce is made from a single piece of brass or steel, with a round shade perforated on the lower edge. These perforations create a decorative light halo effect and reduce glare, providing warm, diffused light.

Featuring a 180-degree swivel arm, it lets you adjust the intensity and direction of light, making it ideal as a reading or accent lamp. Versatile, it's ideal for a bedroom (next to a bed), living room (next to a sofa), office, kitchen or hallway.

Historical background

Designed in the 1930s, the A330S was exhibited in the Finnish pavilion at the 1937 Paris World Fair, marking its importance in modern design. Although produced in small series for specific projects by the Aalto family, it has only recently been mass-produced by Artek, based on historical models. It reflects the philosophy of Artek, founded in 1935 by the Aalto family, which combines art, technology and functionality.

Aesthetics and impact

The “Golden Bell” takes its name from the golden sheen of the brass and its bell-like shape. Its timeless, minimalist design blends into a variety of interiors, from modern spaces to classic settings. The sconce's sculptural quality, combined with its soft light, makes it more than just a luminaire: it's a functional work of art.
