Wall Light A330S – Black – Artek

Inspired by the suspension lamp of the same name, it embodies Aalto's organic, functional aesthetic, with a sculptural bell shape that remains elegant, on or off.

The sconce is made from a single piece of brass or steel, with a round shade perforated on the lower edge. These perforations create a decorative light halo effect and reduce glare, providing warm, diffused light.

Historical background

Designed in the 1930s, the A330S was exhibited in the Finnish pavilion at the 1937 Paris World Fair, marking its importance in modern design. Although produced in small series for specific projects by the Aalto family, it has only recently been mass-produced by Artek, based on historical models. It reflects the philosophy of Artek, founded in 1935 by the Aalto family, which combines art, technology and functionality.
