The Panthella table lamp is one of the most famous works of the prolific Danish designer Verner Panton, a pioneer in the use of synthetic materials (see for example his famous Panton chair, developed with Vitra). With the Panthella lamp, Verner Panton was able to exploit the optical qualities of acrylic: the hemispheric shade diffuses a soft light mainly directed downwards, where its convex base acts as a reflector to obtain a non glaring and multi-directional light which illuminates the entire room evenly.
