The NJP table lamp is a new interpretation of the classic architect's lamp, conceived by Japanese design agency Nendo and designer Oki Sato. Its simple, honest appearance supports the lamp's functional components and gives it an explicit style. The lamp's applications have been studied down to the last detail: the two ball-and-socket joints on the arm offer great flexibility for easy adjustment of the lamp's position.
As a final touch, the arm's ball joint springs are freely exposed, enhancing the lamp's decorative effect. In addition, the rear opening of the shade towards the arm provides gradual adjustment of the head and ventilation for the LEDs. The shade is shaped to fit perfectly in the palm of your hand, and features a switch that lets you choose between 2 light levels at the touch of a button. The ultimate refinement: the lamp turns itself off if you forget to do so.
The NJP Mini table lamp provides glare-free downward light that can be adjusted by means of its shade to distribute the light evenly. Its compact size means it can be placed on a bedside table, desk, shelf or any other space-saving surface. Its arm is at a fixed angle of 15° and can rotate 342° around its base. Dimmable, it is possible to adjust the light between 15 and 100% and ensure that the lamp switches off automatically thanks to its 4 or 8 hour timer.

Intuitive operation makes it easy to ensure perfect lighting for a variety of daily activities.
Two pre-settings are available, 50% and 100% brightness, to adapt to the transition from working on a screen to working on paper.
The NJP table lamp has a timer function that allows it to switch off automatically.

Oki Sato - Nendo design studio
Nendo design studio is synonymous with designer Oki Sato, born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada.
In 2002 he founded Nendo design studio. Nendo means ’clay’ in Japanese – or more specifically, modelling clay such as plasticine. A unique material that makes it easy to do creative modelling. As Oki Sato explains: ”The name is appropriate for a studio that needs to develop design solutions for a host of very different clients”
Oki Sato does not look at design like many iconic designers, who have focused on the mantra, ’form follows function’. He also looks at the history behind the product and its design.
His expression is minimalist, but contains small signs and details that immediately arouse memories. He employs soft, friendly shapes which make his designs appear comfortable from first sight.
