The Dapper lounge chair is the result of a collaboration between Hay and the design studio Doshi Levien, who also made the Uchiwa lounge chair. Dapper has an extra wide backrest for comfort and optimal elbow support for laptop work. Its structural shape is formed by two moulded oak-veneered plywood shells with powder coated steel legs. Dapper’s shell comes in a variety of stained and lacquered oak veneers, fabrics and leathers, with the base available in several different variations of powder coated steel.
Indian designer Nipa Doshi and Scottish Jonathan Levien met at the Royal College of Art and have been working together for more than 10 years in their London studio.
