ready-made 2 and 3-seater sofas

Harald 3 fabric – price group 4
100% coton – Durability: 100.000 Martindale

A closely-woven, very short-pile velour, Harald brings the fresh, soft texture of cotton to a directionless velvety textile. The intense colour offered by this matte velour places the focus strongly onto the silhouette of the upholstered object, emphasizing its shape and contours.

Originally designed by Fanny Aronsen, this new edition of Harald has been re-coloured by Raf Simons with a palette that offers a particularly large selection of vivid keynote tones, including primrose yellow, burnt orange, raspberry, lavender, aubergine and dark mint green, alongside more natural tones. Harald is a durable fabric suitable for use as curtains as well as in upholstery.

The Surface by Hay fabric is the result of a collaboration between the manufacturer Kvadrat and the brand Hay. Designed by Nina Koppel, this upholstery fabric consists of a melange between 2 to 4 threads of different colours. The result: a complex colour pattern, more or less apparent, and giving the fabric its vitality.

Rime is a woollen upholstery fabric designed by Åsa Pärson, which has a melange-like look when viewed from a distance. It is named to reflect the harmony of the two unicolours used in each of its colourways. Inspired by polonaise carpets from the 17th century, Rime is constructed with a satin weave. This gives it a tight, smooth and lustrous structure. Each of Rime’s colourways combines a clear tone with a shade. For some colourways, which combine similar tones, Rime appears unicoloured. For others, where there is stronger contrast, the structure of the textile emerges much more clearly. Åsa Pärson: ‘Rime is multifunctional. It has three quite different looks that depend on the level of contrast betweenthe two colours used in its construction - smart, happy or simply elegant.’

The palette for Rime comprises natural and earthy hues, as well as a few highlight colours. Due to the variety of its colourways Rime is very versatile. It is particularly well suited to offices and soft contract usage.

Sunniva 2 is the result of a collaboration between Raf Simons, a Belgian couturier with a minimalist style who, since 2012, runs the department of haute couture at Dior, and Fanny Aronsen, famous Swedish textile designer. Dominated by wool, Sunniva 2 offers both a nice material and a pleasant feel. With excellent resistance to both wear (Martindale 50000) and light, it is suitable for both private and public spaces.

Fiord is a versatile woollen upholstery textile with a subtle three-dimensional look. Originally designed by Norwegian designer Tone Barnung, it comes in refreshed colours created in collaboration with Louise Sigvardt. The construction of Fiord combines a melange yarn with a unicoloured yarn that creates pearl-like dots that play across the textile’s surface. Ranging from dark to light, the 27 colourways for Fiord explore complimentary opposites. They bring together hard and soft tones, as well as cold and warm shades. The melange yarn has the effect of softening the hue of the unicoloured yarn while accentuating the way the pearls stand out.

Divina Melange 2

has been extremely well received by the market. Divina family is a textile collection characterised by its lack of texture and nap and consequently the fabric accentuates the dimensions of the furniture, giving prominence to the colours. Melange means mixture. The existing six grey and beige colourways are produced by mixing varying proportions of either black or brown wool with white wool. The different colours of wool are mixed before the garment is spun. The new colourways have come about by dipping the two base colours in bold, virtually luminous pigments. The result is 24 coloured melanges.

Divina MD

is an upholstery textile designed by Finn Sködt. Available in sophisticated, rich colours, which reveal hidden depths as the perspective of the viewer changes, it makes a strong colour statement. Thanks to its smooth, directionless and consistent surface, it complements the shape of furniture very well and is ideal for organically shaped furniture.

Suitable for soft seating for both contract and private use, material-dyed Divina MD is soft, comfortable and durable. A heavily milled textile, it is manufactured by weaving yarn in a plain weave and then shrinking it in a mechanical process, which uses high temperatures. This method gives it an attractive felt-like look, which is similar to Divina and Divina Melange, the other fabrics in the Divina ‘family’.

Divina 3 upholstery has become a classic within the collection and is still very popular. Finn Sködt is renowned for his exceptional ability in first finding and then blending colours. His starting point is always in the primary colours – red, yellow and blue; after which he begins to pick out other colours and nuances Finn Sködt’s work especially favours clear colours and is often inspired by his background in graphics and the arts. Divina is a full-cloth product, which means that it is manufactured by weaving the yarn in a coarse linen hose casing, after which, it is subjected to mechanical processing using very high temperatures, at the same time as it is being coloured. This creates a situation where the surface becomes smooth, directionless and uniform in a manner very similar to the properties of felt.

Tonus 4 is an elastic upholstery fabric by late textile artist Nina Koppel. Ideal for modern organic furniture and characterised by rare colour richness, it comes in a total of 47 hues.

Tonus brings colours to life in vibrant, precise fashion. Building on this characteristic, the intensity and brightness of all the colours have been increased. The new earthy, golden tones in the palette are taken from Nina Koppel’s original colour archive. They show her brilliant sense of colour, which reflects that she mastered all facets of the colour design from the warm tones associated with spices and Oriental mysticism, to the cooler Nordic aquamarine colours.

Steelcut Trio

features an innovative weave, which gives the fabric a three-dimensional surface resembling small pyramids or steel points and, despite the complexity of the weave, a simple and precise expression. The difference between Steelcut Trio and Steelcut lies in the way they are coloured. Unlike Steelcut, Steelcut Trio is yarn-dyed and made from 3 differently coloured yarns, often with very bright tones on the warp and lighter tones on the weft. This combination not only accentuates the three dimensional character of the weave, it also adds life to the fabric: though it looks unicoloured from a distance, different shades are revealed as the viewer gets nearer.

Steelcut

is a hardwearing upholstery textile, which is an evolution of Steelcut in an additional colour scale. It is designed by Frans Dijkmeijer and coloured by Giulio Ridolfo. The fabric features an innovative weave, which creates a three-dimensional surface resembling small pyramids or steel points. This gives Steelcut 2 a simple, precise expression, despite the complex weaving technique used in its production.

Canvas is a refined woolen upholstery textile, which comes in seductive yet subtle colourways inspired by women’s couture. Featuring a relatively voluminous and soft weave, Canvas is constructed from material dyed yarns and, consequently, offers exceptional colour richness. Its yarns comprise up to three colours and, as two differently coloured yarns are used to create every colourway, each combines up to six hues.
