Mogens Koch's Folding chair was first designed in 1932 for a competition on church interior. The design was not successful at this time as it was simply too radical. It was only in 1960 when he displayed the chair again at the annual Carpenters guild exhibition in Copenhagen that the Folding chair was put in production.
The Folding chair is easy to store as it folds together completely wich makes it ideal as an "add-on" chair for dining or lounge area. The canvas cover is made of cotton. The Folding chair is available in oil-treated beech or mahogany. The seat and backrest are available in cotton canvas or Thor leather in 4 colors. The armrests are always made of natural full-grain butt leather.
The Folding Chair is easy to transport, yet also aesthetically pleasing, whether it is placed at the dining table or on the patio. What makes the design unique is that the chair stabilizes itself automatically when sitting in it, ensuring great seating comfort. The chair is very easy to store due to its simple folding mechanism, with the mounted brass rings providing a smooth folding movement.
