Hopsak fabric
With the Coconut chair, we clearly identify George Nelsen’s taste for humour and creativity, which has often been attributed to the favourable historical context of the United States as well as the « less-is-more » philosophy inherited from his Scandinavian predecessors (Alvar Aalto, Arne Jacobsen, etc.). George Nelsen described his chair as a coconut that has been cut in 8 pieces. The inside of the white shell is covered by padding made from one single piece and can be covered with either textile or leather. George Nelson’s occasional table completes the chair perfectly.
Shell glass fibre reinforced plastic in white.
Upholstery one-piece polyurethane foam padding. Hopsak fabric, leather or Premium leather.
Base tubular steel, polished chrome finish.
Glides fitted with plastic glides for carpet; felt glides for hard floors optionally available.
