The design of the Around Coffee & Side Tables, like all Muuto products, is based on simplicity of lines and functionality. Designer Thomas Bentzen on his design: “Around is a series of friendly and elegant coffee tables which preserves functional simplicity.

Around is a coffee table for my taste: stable and durable - The edge of the table emphasizes stability. Around offers a friendly meeting space ".

Thomas Bentzen

Thomas Bentzen, former designer at Louise Campell Studio, started his own studio in 2010. He is the co-founder of the design collective REMOVE and his products have received international recognition at fairs and exhibitions all over the world.

« I like to create objects that are functional and simple, while satisfying a human need when in use and creating joy when idle. For me, durability means quality, form, and functionality and putting an immense amount of energy into making virtues out of necessities. »

On Scandinavian design: « Scandinavian design has always been about honesty and functionality, comprised with poetry. I like it that way. I think Scandinavian designers have succeeded in bringing their heritage into a time where we no longer stand next to the cabinetmaker, but are challenged and thrilled by new materials and new ways to produce. »
