Loafer lounge chair

design Space Copenhagen, 2018

The Loafer armchair was designed by the Danish designer duo Space Copenhagen on demand from the prestigious SAS Royal Hotel, built by Arne Jacobsen in Copenhagen. Intended to occupy the legendary hall of the hotel, the Loafer chair echoes its lines with the circular columns and the spiral staircase that dominate the volume. Compact, comfortable and enveloping, the Loafer chair allows you to sit down without feeling exposed. It's equally suitable for lobby groups, clubs or private lounges and can be used in groups as well as isolated.

Space Copenhagen is a danish architecture and design studio started by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou in 2005. Both alumni of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture.
