The question that manufacturer String furniture posed to architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström was: is it possible to design a work environment that is as welcoming as a living room while still being perfectly functional?Â
Their answer is a modular office system called String Works, made up of a series of elements designed according to the principle of the String System.Â
The central piece of String Works is the height-adjustable work desk, a concept born in the Nordic countries and particularly in Sweden and which is essential today everywhere in the world: vary your working position by alternating standing and sitting stimulates circulation and muscles, which is highly beneficial both for the body and for concentration.
