The Lilium outdoor furniture collection obeys a very simple grammar: generous surfaces with rounded edges in large teak planks where the stripping enhances the grain of the wood, and a X-shaped stainless steel legs, both robust and light.
Designed by BIG, the studio founded by Danish “star-architect” Bjarke Ingels, the Lilium collection is available as a lounge area and a dining area. Simple and elegant, luxurious and discreet, using ecologically responsible wood, it perfectly embodies the values of Scandinavian design.
BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group
BIG is a Copenhagen, New York, London, and Barcelona based group of architects, designers, urbanists, landscape professionals, interior and product designers, researchers, and inventors. The studio is currently involved in a large number of projects throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
BIG was established by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels, who is an unconventional architect and communicator, who twists the sometimes rigid dogmas of modernism, adding creative thinking, fertile imagination and a pragmatic approach.
BIG's architecture emerges out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes due to the influence of multicultural exchange, global economical flows, and communication technologies. BIG’s design vision carries through from the big picture to the small details. By combining strong conceptual narratives with a keen eye for detail, fit and finish, the studio ensures that products can live in any interior environment and improve the way we live, work and play.
