Keep is an elegant chest of drawers with a beautiful oak frame. Its height gives it an airy character, and the fine details of the oak handles create a pleasing design. A genuine evolution of standard MDF, Valchromat is mass-stained, and its manufacturing process makes it more stable, more resistant (to shock and humidity) and easier to maintain. Small, pure wood fibers - which have not absorbed organic colorants - can be seen in varying quantities on its surface, giving it its unique, natural appearance. Sara Larsson
Sara Larsson is an engineer and designer working in the fields of product design, furniture and architecture. She holds a Master's degree in Engineering Science in Industrial Design from Chalmers. In 2006, she set up her own design studio and in 2009 launched her own furniture brand. As a designer, she enjoys working with clear, distinct lines, often accompanied by interesting details or a fresh approach to function.
She finds it stimulating to work on a wide variety of projects. Art and architecture inspire her more than other furniture. Ideas can come from seeing a patterned tile, for example, and parts of it can end up in a design much later. The durability of furniture is very important, and she wants her products to be passed on and live on. The products are often highly polished, or distinctive as she describes them.
