Margrethe Odgaard, 2018

The Pebble Rug has a tactile surface, inspired by the sensuous feeling of walking across a pebbled beach. With a handwoven structure, Pebble Rug plays with the contrasts of materials between the soft wool loops and the jute yarn canvas base. The Pebble Rug is suitable for use in private spaces or in public environments such as hotels or co-working areas.

Rug pads can be placed under the rugs to prevent gliding (sold separately).

Dimensions 200 x 300 cm or 170 x 240 cm

Margrethe Odgaard

Margrethe Odgaard is a Danish designer of textiles and colors. Constantly looking for new ways to explore colors and patterns, she works in particular from perceptions of the different senses. Touch is therefore of particular importance and complements the visual impression. Margrethe Odgaard defends the idea that products made with the intention of nourishing the body and mind will have a positive impact on the viewer.

A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design, Margrethe Odgaard also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States. Before setting up her own studio, she worked for several years as a textile designer at the French fashion company EPICE and was also a print assistant at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia.
