The imaginative plants in the Kasvio (flora) pattern as well as the exuberant Palsta (garden patch) pattern, were created by ombining leaves, flowers and stalks of different plants and playing with dimensions. Lotta Maija drew inspiration for the design from old books on plants and a summer cottage garden. As for the Apilainen (small clover) pattern, the idea came about on a windy day at a summer cottage. A strong easterly wind brought unusually large waves to the shore, and grass and flowers swayed back and forth in the yard.
The Tiiliskivi pattern is a modern classic, created by Armi Ratia back in 1952. For Spring 2020, it is reinterpreted in new, spring colors, in both cotton and cotton linen.
