Unikko (poppy) was created by Maija Isola in 1964 and has since become an international icon of print design. The founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia, believed that it was not possible to faithfully capture the true essence of real flowers in print, which is why floral prints were earlier excluded from Marimekko collections.

So, Maija Isola designed Unikko to be an abstraction of a flower rather than a photorealistic rendition. Today, Unikko is a powerful emblem of joy and creativity, seamlessly integrated into Marimekko´s design identity.?

Fabrics are sold by the decimeter (1 dm = 10 cm). Ex: If you wish to buy 220 cm (2.2m), order 22 units.

SHOWER CURTAIN

The Juhla Unikko pattern shower curtain is made of recycled polyester. The shower curtain can be hung with shower hooks from the 12 small metal rings at the top edge. The curtain has a weighted bottom edge. The shower hooks are not included.

This product celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Unikko pattern.

Le rideau de douche Juhla Unikko est fabriqué en polyester recyclé. Le rideau de douche peut être suspendu avec des crochets de douche aux 12 petits anneaux métalliques situés sur le bord supérieur. Le rideau a un bord inférieur lesté. Les crochets de douche ne sont pas inclus.
