When designing the Ruutukukka (checked flower) and Ristikukka (cross flower) prints, Satu Maaranen first composed the pattern by arranging fresh carnations on the floor and then painted the flowers on cardboard with swift, relaxed brushstrokes.
The Polku dress is made of a viscose blend crepe in the Ruutukukka pattern. The dress has a raised collar with a metal zipper closure in the front and raglan sleeves. The hem has a slight A-line shape and gathers at the vertical seam. The dress comes with a separate D-ring belt.

The Ahkio shirt is made of viscose crepe in the Ristikukka pattern. The shirt has a slit and button closure at the back neckline. The sleeve ends feature wide cuffs and slits with a button detail.
