Joe Colombo's Riscio lamp was designed in 1967. It is reissued with a modern, powerful light source, coupled with a tactile dimmer integrated into the upper part. The Italian word Riscio means "rickshaw", Colombo's way of acknowledging the importance of Asian culture to him.

Joe Colombo

Prolific Italian architect and designer Joe Colombo, born Cesare Colombo, believed in democratic, functional design, intended to be used in a variety of ways - all for the benefit of the user.

Ahead of his time, Colombo drew on emerging materials and the latest technologies to design futuristic "living machines", many of which have become icons of a new way of life.
