With SLANT, the Japanese design team Branch plays with the power of forms. Through its daring, playful and unsettling aesthetic, SLANT occupies the space in a singular way.
With a sober and monochrome silhouette, the SLANT lamp is composed of two cylinders with an inclined and weighted base to keep the angle perfectly balanced. Made of aluminum, its surface is smooth and satin with a wet spray finish. An acrylic diffuser hiding the bulb subtly distributes the light for a soft and minimalist atmosphere.
Available in several color options (soft black, white and khaki green), with its unusual shape, directional light and adjustable thanks to a dimmer, SLANT is perfect for a wide variety of interiors, from the office to the reading corner in the living room or the bedside table in the bedroom.

BRANCH team at Tama University
Based at Tama University of Art and Design (western Tokyo) in Japan, BRANCH is a creative unit exploring the relationship between people, objects and their environment from the multiple perspectives of art, science and design. The team is composed of Tsunao Nagasaki, a Japanese designer and professor at the Department of Integrated Design, as well as graduates and students of the department.
A team is assembled for each project, and this team creates innovative design solutions from a multidisciplinary perspective that encompasses a variety of media including art, space, product, graphic, screen, and research. SLANT is BRANCH's first design for HAY.
