The Colour Carpets are a high defined and richly coloured carpet. The tufted carpets are made of 100% New Zealand wool. Scholten & Baijings has created optical transparency by using colour gradients.
The result: a collection of six different carpet designs each with its very own character and display of colours.

Scholten & Baijings
Scholten & Baijings is the design studio of Stefan Scholten (b. 1972) and Carole Baijings (b. 1973), located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Founded in 2000, the studio specializes in the design of products, furniture, graphics and exhibitions. They worked on a large number of product typologies, including chairs, ceramics, glassware, textiles, rugs and tableware. They have also worked on concepts for prestigious institutions and brands. Together they have won numerous awards, including the Dutch Design Award, the Wallpaper Design Award and the ELLE Decoration International Design Award. Scholten graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven, while Baijings is a self-taught designer. Perfectionists by nature, their products are distinguished by a judicious use of patterns, colors and graphic elements.
For HAY they have designed a wide selection of different furniture, textiles and accessories. These include 13Eighty, Color Glass, Paper Porcelain, Torchon S&B, Color Carpet and Color Sticks.
