Andreas Engesvik & Daniel Rybakken
Born in 1984, Daniel Rybakken grew up in Oslo, Norway. He studied design at the Oslo School of Architecture and Göteborg School of Arts and Crafts, Sweden, before setting up his own practice there in 2008. Rybakken has received numerous awards, including the “Best of the Best” Red Dot Award in Singapore in 2007; the Anders Jahre Cultural Prize for Young Artists in Oslo in 2008; the Design Report Award for best designer at the Salone Satellite in Milan in 2009; the Bruno Mathsson Award in 2011 and the London Design Medal and Golden Chair of the Swedish Association of Architects in 2013. Â
Andreas Engesvik is a Norwegian designer who started his own studio in 2009. Previously, he was a founding member of the revolutionary design studio Norway Says, with whom he worked for six years. Engesvik first studied art history at the University of Bergen, Norway, then studied design at the National College of Art and Design, where he received his master's degree in 2000. His work has won de numerous international awards, including the Red Dot Award, iF Product Design Award and Wallpaper Design Award.Â
