The Rely office chair was designed by Danish designer Hee Welling, known for his ability to design furniture that is simple, ergonomic, durable and optimized from the point of view of manufacturing processes.
The shell of the Rely office chair is made entirely of recycled plastic from car interiors. It is offered naked, decorated with a fixed seat cushion or a removable cushion, fully upholstered with or without additional seat cushion, with or without armrests.

Hee Welling
Hee Welling (born 1974) is an award-winning furniture designer. As well as being displayed in trade fairs and museums around the world, its products can be found in a wide range of interiors, from the Oslo Opera House to the Australian Parliament.
Raised in the Danish countryside, Hee Welling has a predilection for nature which is reflected in the honest minimalism of his pieces. Each of his creations is characterized by a strong visual identity, carried by clean lines and simple silhouettes.
Welling works with a wide range of materials, with wood and metals combined with unnatural elements like plastic.
Although distinctly modern, Welling's work sits within the broader context of the Scandinavian design tradition. His pieces are driven by a belief in function as the cornerstone of furniture design. Looking to old masters like Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner, he seeks to continue their legacy with carefully crafted pieces that prioritize logic. No detail, Welling believes, should be superfluous. Instead, he works through an intuitive design process to ensure each of his parts is optimized to its highest purpose.
Welling attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts to obtain his bachelor's degree, with a semester at the Helsinki University of Art and Design. He later earned a master's degree in furniture design from the Academy. In 2003, he set up his eponymous studio in Copenhagen.
