Develius Mellow is the soft, removable version of the Develius sofa.Â
Like the Develius sofa, Develius Mellow is made up of 16 modules varying in shape, width and depth, with or without armrests, accompanied by an assortment of cushions and footstools.Â
The new Develius Mellow version introduces three major innovations:
• a softer seat thanks to the addition of a soft padded layer on the surface
• the possibility of removing each module's cover to wash or change the covering and extend the life of the sofa
• two armrest heights
The base of the Mellow has been modified: the cut sides of the classic Develius have been replaced by black wooden legs. A system of drawstrings and Velcro ensures that the Develius Mellow cover remains firmly attached to the frame and doesn't sag over time.

Edward van Vliet sees designing as travelling between dreams and reality. Before opening his own studio in 1990, Vliet studied Architecture Design, Interior and Industrial Design at Design Academy Eindhoven and HKU School of Arts. A key player on the vanguard of Dutch design, Vliet transcends aesthetic boundaries by drawing on a global blend of cultural influences. Seen is his array of work from architecture, interiors, furniture, lighting, textiles and lifestyle to destination and experience design.
