Mira is a collection of outdoor furniture that includes a series of chairs and armchairs. Designed by Mia Lagerman, Mira reflects the Danish-Swedish designer's style: quality design for furniture that is both aesthetic and functional.Â
The various elements of the Mira collection share a delicate mesh pattern that reveals what lies behind, or underneath. It can be found as a backrest and seat for chairs and armchairs. But this openwork pattern is not only aesthetic: it also allows the furniture to drain water when it rains. Another practical aspect of the collection is that all the seats are stackable.Â
Mira can be used in any type of outdoor space, large or small. Café terrace, private terrace, balcony, garden... And why not even indoors!

Mia Lagerman
Mia Lagerman has lived in Copenhagen since 1993 and studied in Stockholm and Copenhagen. She is an inveterate Scandinavian and believes in quality, functionality and aesthetics. Mia Lagerman has worked as a furniture designer for the past 25 years. Over the years she has worked with several international brands and has managed to become a key player on the design scene.Â
As a designer, Mia Lagerman sees her constant development - from the creation of the idea to the production to the final result - as a journey towards the best results and where dialogue with collaborators and the development of new methods are essential. Always with the end user in mind.Â
Mia's designs are based on Scandinavian aesthetic simplicity, as well as an understanding of materials and production. This applies to both mass production and smaller editions.Â
Mia Lagerman's work between art and design is also reflected in her portfolio of new designs, where there is a wonderful mix of furniture for mass production, as well as experimental small edition furniture. "The innovative products reflect my need to try out different types of materials and craftsmanship.Â
Ironic design is acceptable, but it still has to be taken seriously. It's about creating a surprise, something unexpected. It's about immersing yourself, striving for perfection with an open mind, stirring people's emotions."Â
So good design means many things to Mia Lagerman: "It's when everything is put together as one. It's better when it's explained with few words, when you can understand it without long explanations, pictures and texts. "Â
"Aesthetics are very personal and constantly evolving. Your eye develops its vision of things throughout your life. I find it boring when everything starts to look the same and becomes too well organised and predictable. Design has to be a little disorganised, a little irregular, dirty or twisted, for the eye to be interested in it."
